I love Youth town because we play games. At youth town i learnt new games. My favourite game we have played is cat and mouse.

Summarising Information

¿ I was learning to summarise information. I can find the main ideas in a text and I can identify the keywords in text. It was easy because i found it hard to answer some of the questions.

Persuasive writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can think about lots of reasons why ice cream is better than chocolate. It was easy to persuade the reader to think that Ice-Cream is better than chocolate because Ice-Cream is very yummy.

Telling Time

I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write and time in numbers and words. I can read the time on the clock and write it in digital time then in words. It was easy because i had already learnt to tell the time.

Acrostic Poems

I was learning to write an acrostic poem. I can write an acrostic poem about Halloween. It was tricky to write an acrostic poem because I have not written it before.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connection. I can use personal experiences to connect the ideas to the text. it was easy because i was able to identify with what happened in the story.

Word Mania

I was learning to make words using different letters. I can make lots of words using the letter provided. it was easy because there was lots of letters to choose from.

Halve It!

I was learning to find out what half of the number was. I can divide numbers by two. it was easy because we were only splitting the numbers into two groups.

Chinese Cultural Lesson

Contractions

I was learning how to make contractions. I can make two longer words into one shorter word. It was easy because the new word had parts of the two words in it.

Punctuation Marks

I was learning about punctuation marks.I know when to use each punctuation mark.It was easy because we have been practiscing using punctuation marks in class.

Place Value

I was learning about place value. I can identify how many hundreds tens and ones were in 3 digit numbers.It was easy because the video we watched in class explained place value well.

Making Inferences

I was learning to make inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel,think about or see in the text. It was tricky because it was not easy to find the clues in the text.

Skip Counting in 10's

I was learning to skip count forwards and backwards in 10's. I can skip count forwards and backwards in 10's starting from any number. It was easy to skip count in 10's because ten is a tidy number.

Making Predictions

I I was learning to make predictions. I check to see if my predictions were right by using the text.It was easy to make predictions because the picture on the cover showed it.

Road Safety

Do not run on the road.

Vowel Sounds

I was learning about the long and short vowel sounds.I can tell the diffrence between the long and short vowel sounds. It was easy to tell the diffrence between the vowel sounds because the video explaind it well.

Skip Counting

I was learning to skip count in 2's and 5's.I learnt how to skip count in 2s and 5s. It was easy to skip count in 5s because i have learnt this before.
